Description: This piece is based on a found sign from the 1920s with the same quote and scalloped edges. The wording sounds so modern for its time that I wanted to remake it in my hand and different color ways — with gold leaf and green paint to further emphasize that cash money. It probably wasn't intentional but it can also be laid out to be read as a haiku! This continues to ring true for myself and most craftspeople. Yes, we try to find the fun in our work but we gotta get paid too!
