Description: This functional sculpture invites you (and a friend) to sit gently in the waveforms. Inspired by the shifting, three-dimensional quality of bright morning light streaming through dense forest, the artist imagines the morning sun slicing its way through solid matter. The piece is carved from an Incense Cedar tree recently felled by a utility company near the artist's home in the Sierra Nevada foothills.
